WEGMANN automotive and FC Würzburger Kickers hand over the donation cheque to the Bundesvereinigung Lebenshilfe.

WEGMANN automotive and Würzburger Kickers donate to Bundesvereinigung Lebenshilfe e.V.

Together with the Würzburger Kickers, WEGMANN automotive set an example for people with disabilities.

As a family business, WEGMANN automotive is particularly committed to regional projects and associations. As an important employer in Lower Franconia, our region is particularly close to our hearts.

On the inclusion day on 30 March 2019 on the occasion of the home match of FC Würzburger Kickers against SC Preußen Münster in the FLYERALARM Arena WEGMANN automotive donated 1€ per day ticket sold to the Bundesvereinigung Lebenshilfe e.V. together with the Kickers. In the end a proud donation of 1.199€ was collected. Markus Vogler (Managing Director WEGMANN automotive) and Ines Schlagbauer (FC Würzburger Kickers, 2nd from left) presented the donation cheque to Thomas Fries (2nd Chairman of Lebenshilfe Würzburg) and his son Klemens. The donation will be used for the project days "Moving through the Year" of the Christophorus School.

Reason for the action was the world down syndrome day proclaimed for 21. March. Together with the Agentur für Arbeit Würzburg and the Mainfränkische Werkstätten, the red trousers and WEGMANN automotive set an example for people with disabilities at this theme play day.

There were other highlights around the game: Player escort children on this match day were the youth players of the Gehörlosen SV Würzburg and children with down syndrome. Furthermore, head coach Michael Schiele held a training session with the blind soccer players from Veitshöchheim.

Focus on the human being

This is the motto of the Mainfränkische Werkstätten. Every person with a disability should have the opportunity to live and work in the greatest possible independence and self-determination.

The Mainfränkische Werkstätten is a group of companies with seven main locations in Mainfranken, which employs 1,500 people with disabilities. 40 percent of the disabilities only arise in the course of a lifetime, which makes the topic of inclusion relevant for everyone. One more reason for us at WEGMANN automotive to make a contribution to actively supporting people with disabilities and drawing attention to the topic.

WEGMANN automotive wishes the Bundesvereinigung Lebenshilfe e.V. successful project days!
